Carolyn “CJ” Plog is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. She has a Master’s in Social Work. She is Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years’ experience working in the mental health field. Her time spent working in community mental health has helped shape her current role in providing treatment to employees through the EAP (employee assistance program) and meeting the needs of clients in the private practice she established in 2003.
CJ works with individuals, couples, children and families and also provides group therapy for trauma based treatment. Carolyn is skilled in working with a variety of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse and chronic mental illness.
CJ considers her treatment approach to be an eclectic mix of Psychoanalytic, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and Rogerian therapies. She has additional training in providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma specific treatment, Critical Incident Stress Management and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.
