Kathleen Carey is a licensed clinical social worker with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Kat has over 30 years’ experience working with clients in a variety of settings navigating the problems, obstacles and conflicts that affect us all. She believes counseling can help people gain insight, get support, and reconnect with themselves and others in meaningful ways. Kat employs a whole person approach to counseling, utilizing elements of mindfulness, cognitive reprocessing and solution focused therapy, all of which are adapted to the needs and preferences of the individual. Kat offers a warm, respectful and confidential relationship in a safe, professional setting. Within the non-judgmental space, individuals can explore their issues and learn new skills to decrease their stress level and increase their qualify of life.
