Tara L. Hartley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of IL. Tara obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work at Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. Tara is also certified as an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor. Tara has a strong passion for what she does and enjoys helping others.
Tara is a member of the SIU-C Trauma Behavioral Health Fellowship and has extensive training in trauma informed care. Tara has had extensive training in CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. Tara also works at SIH within the Behavioral Health Department as a Palliative Care Provider. Tara previously worked at Centerstone as a youth and adult therapist and worked on the BeST Practice of FIRST Early Identification and Treatment of Psychosis team as an Individual Resiliency Therapist then after she worked at Gateway Foundation as an Intake Counselor II.
Tara currently lives in Southern Illinois where she has lived most of her life. Tara has two beautiful children, a very supportive significant other, and West Highland white terrier who she adores. When Tara is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling.
