ADULT & FAMILIES
ADULT & FAMILIES
Sessions are on a one-on-one basis. Typically, these sessions are on a weekly basis, and usually last between 30-60 minutes in length. A variety of issues can be discussed during a session. We most often see clients for issues taking place in the present, but we can work through traumas and issues of the past as well. It is not always necessary to have an order from a physician to seek this treatment. This varies between each insurance carrier.
Sessions are held with one or more members of a family to work through issues related to a loved one. For example, if a loved one has a mental illness and the family is struggling with how to help them better cope with symptoms. We can see families for a variety of reasons and oftentimes even a few family sessions can be beneficial when working through an issue.
Sessions are held in a common area and typically have 4 or more people in attendance. Group sessions are designed to help multiple people who are going through something similar or have a common issue or concern. Some examples of this could be: abuse, shared trauma, community issues, etc.
Why Choose Live Well?
Our team of practitioners have a variety of experience with the complex concerns that can arise for adults and families. We have several practitioners with extensive backgrounds in the specific needs of couples and families. For adults, we have a variety of techniques to safely and comfortably allow you to work through anything you may need assistance with. From trying to better oneself, to overcoming infidelity, to differences in parenting styles, our diverse team can help.
Our main goal is accessibility. We are a large practice and have practitioners located throughout the state. Telehealth counseling is also available.
Adults face a variety of issues from personal issues to workplace disputes, to pre-marital and marital counseling to family issues. Some of our practitioners have dedicated experience in these issues and can help you work through them.
How Does it Work?
A clinical social worker will determine if counseling is appropriate. If the client lives in a senior community, we will ask for signed consents granting permission to communicate with the community, physician, and/or psychiatrist.
Sessions are arranged at the client’s convenience. We typically meet on a weekly basis for 30-60 minutes per session.
We bill through insurance, which covers most sessions. Call us today to see if we are in network with your insurance!
