My Biography
Cyndie Kieffer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois & Indiana who combined her passion for helping people with her love of dogs. Cyndie is a Certified Professional Practitioner of Animal Assisted Play Therapy™ through the International Institute of Animal Assisted Play Therapy-R. Cyndie enjoys helping others share their animal’s unique talents through involvement with Pet Partners as an evaluator, instructor, and a handler. She has authored several articles about animal assisted interventions and wrote and published a book, “Jack the Brave” in 2020. Additionally, she has spoken at an international, as well as many national, and state-level, conferences on the topic of animal assisted interventions.
Cyndie and her husband enjoy life with their dogs, Dori, Norm, and Cliff, all who often accompany Cyndie while working), making wine from fruits grown in their orchard and traveling.

We all have superpowers! While we work together, Cyndie (and her canine partners) will utilize a strengths-based approach to help find ways to find your superpowers.
She draws from a variety of treatment models including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and Animal-Assisted Play Therapy (play is important for everyone in every life stage).
