Morgan Wilson
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
My Biography
Morgan earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Virginia Tech, and spent several years assisting underserved communities in social services programs. Since earning her Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University, she has continued to work with diverse populations with a variety of needs to include behavioral health, acute illness, chronic illness, domestic violence, and grief.
Morgan’s work is rooted in a strengths-based approach. Additionally, she has trained in EMDR and CBT, and utilizes techniques from these modalities in session. Morgan aims to create a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment in which her clients can feel supported. Morgan has a special interest in supporting members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, as a Black woman and ally.
Morgan’s ideal client is someone who may be experiencing intrusive or racing thoughts, feelings of sadness, loneliness or feeling like they don’t have a place where they’re truly heard. Morgan’s goal is that clients leave each session feeling heard and supported. She understands that it can be uncomfortable and even scary to be vulnerable, and works to build a relationship that allows her clients to feel safe enough to be open.
Morgan was raised a military brat, and grew up to become a military spouse. She currently resides in IL with her husband, their two daughters and two pups. Morgan enjoys baking, running, and live music.
